PRT Competition goes CORVETTE RACING!
Chevrolet will be more involved in the 2017 GGTC Season, with PRT Competition confirming last Monday that the team will now be factory-backed by Chevrolet. These news spark the confirmation that the team will be fielding a second Corvette with debuting driver Elliot Faggeter.

PRT Competition has confirmed Monday the team will be factory-backed by Chevrolet and will be fielding a second Corvette in next season of GGTC.
The team fielded a single Camaro SS GT.M which never saw a single win in the 2016 season. The team has high hopes for the more powerful Chevy power-plant, which will deem a powerful competitor against the like of HRSC's, and recently announced, MMRacing's Ford GT GTM, and the strongly recognizable factory-backed SDM Viper GTS-M's.
The team recently acquiried soon-to-be debuting driver Elliot Faggeter, who had expressed interest in the series. He was originally asked by HRSC to join the Portugese-squad, but eventually turned towards PRT and the factory-support from Chevrolet.
"I'm extremely excited!" Said PRT driver Elliot Faggeter, "I
have done some testing and car feels pretty good, I can't
promise to be quick, but consistency is going to be key.
Alex is a nice guy and I'm sure he'll help me through my
rookie season!"
"Honestly, I'm worried about my pace and the whole setting
up the car, but I'll get there. Once I'm confident setting up
the car, I reckon it'll help to advance me."
Team owner Alexander Heinen had initially expressed interest
in fielding a Corvette C6 Z06.M, however eventually turned
heads towards Chevy's updated and more powerful Corvette
C7.M. The cars will carry the number used by the Corvettes at
Le Mans, which will be the #63 and #64.
